March 15, 2001 Hi. I bought a Carter-Starter from one of your dealers 3 months ago. I am really impressed with how well it plays and sounds. I used to play standard guitar and bass for 36 years, playing in bands since I was 13 years old, with my family. I have 3 friends who have been playing pedal steel guitar for 20 years, so I know what a professional steel guitar should sound like. This Carter-Starter plays and sounds as good as the PRO models my friends play! The Carter-Starter is a really nice sounding and quality steel for an unbelievable price! Of course, my friends do not play a Carter PRO model, which I have heard is built much better, and sounds, plays, and sustains a lot better than the Carter-Starter. I can't wait to try out a Carter PRO model some day! It is hard to imagine something sounding or playing any better than the Carter-Starter. I recommend the Carter-Starter to anyone in the music business; or the person who wants to learn to play pedal steel guitar! I have already played the Carter-Starter on several gigs!
